I’m a very patient, easy-going person with a life-long passion for learning. My students tell me I’m good at explaining complex ideas in a clear and concise way that anyone can understand. I also take great satisfaction in watching my students succeed.

Tutoring Experience
In my 30-year career as a science teacher, I’ve helped thousands of students excel at science. Through this experience, I’ve learned that each student has their own learning style. That’s why it’s so important to tap into this learning style when working with a student. I’ve also developed a deep collection of proven teaching strategies that help ensure student success.

Teaching Credentials
I taught high school science for 30 years. After retiring from the classroom, I was a professor in Science Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) and Queens University. During this time, I trained student teachers in how to teach science and chemistry. I’ve also been co-author for several science textbooks that are currently being used in Ontario schools (grade 9 and 10 Science, grade 11 and 12 Chemistry).

Interests
I can’t wait for COVID to disappear so we can start traveling again. There are so many places in the world I still want to explore. l’m also an avid golfer (forever trying to improve) and a musician. I play bass in a local orchestra and have started to experiment with jazz.
