Creative, Helpful, Patient, Collaborative Bonjour-Hi! I’m Denbeigh (Den-Bee), a recent McGill grad on her way to become a teacher! I majored in French Literature, with minors in History and Anthropology. I ran with the McGill Varsity XC and Track teams, and I’m a triathlete outside of school. I have past experience as a tutor, lifeguard, swim instructor, camp counsellor, camp director, and youth sports coach. My teaching philosophy is centred on implementing creative and engaging lessons tailored to each student. I hope we can build a laid-back learning space where you feel comfortable making mistakes.
Tutoring and Teaching Experience
I have eight years of experience tutoring children ages twelve to eighteen in English and French, and have one year of experience teaching adult French language classes. I also have experience as a substitute elementary teacher in Quebec, and have previously worked as a camp director, camp counsellor, lifeguard and swim instructor, as well as a coach or mentor for multiple children’s sports teams.
